| The Treasurer/Collector is an elected official
with a four year term. The duties includes, Real Estate
tax collection and disbursement of money collected to units of
Government listed on your tax bill. Collection in 2008
exceeded 185 million dollars. |
| The Treasurer is responsible for investing funds
for Tazewell County. We balance all bank statements. |
| Tazewell County has an annual budget of 54
million dollars. To average that out, we process over one
million dollars weekly paying expenses and bills. |
| All funds collected and received by Tazewell
County is handled by the Treasurer's office. |
