| The mission of the Tazewell
County Health Department is to provide health services designed
to improve the health of the individual, family, community and
environment. |
| The Department shall carry out its mission to
the community through: |
- Prevention and control of disease
- Provision of personal health care services
- Promotion of positive attitudes about health and health
care services
- Development, promotion and implementation of effective
environmental health programs
- Provision of services for people with chronic diseases,
disabilities and substance abuse
- Coordination and planning with other state, private and
community services
